All what you need to know about transportation during a trip to Tanzania from Jeep safaris to domestic flights.
Vehicles and Jeeps
Most of the safari takes place on rough roads with a 4x4 Jeep, Land Rover, or Toyota Land Cruiser, with pop-up roof, fridge, binoculars, inverter, and professional guide/driver. Unlimited mileage. For airport transfer and getting around the city, we can use minibus or similar.
Roads
Only a few roads are paved in Tanzania. Much of roads and trails in the parks are unpaved, dusty, and bumpy but it is part of the adventure. The main road from Kilimanjaro to Arusha is all paved and continued to the entrance of Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Domestic flights and to other East Africa countries
Domestic and international flights are a quick and comfortable way to travel to Tanzania. There are flights with larger aircraft to and from major cities and Zanzibar, or flights with smaller planes (Cessna type), especially to fly and land directly within the parks. Details about the luggage can be checked with our office.
