Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest solitary peak in the world and the highest peak in Africa. Climbing to the top doesn’t  require special technical skills and Mount Kilimanjaro is very accessible to all the hikers. The key point is you have enough time to reach the peak which is 5,895 meters, the only difficulty is to get used to the altitude after 4000 meters so it is recommended 6-7 days trekking.

Once landed at Kilimanjaro airport usually we spend the first night in Arusha to recover from the long flight and get ready for the trekking to the summit. There are 4 possible routes climbing to the summit of Kilimanjaro, an adventure that you will remember for all your life. Let’s see all the routes one by one.

Marangu Route

Marangu is the most popular route, also called “Coca-Cola route”. It’s the shortest route and you can make it in just 5 days, but usually it is better take 6 days for the altitude acclimatization. During this way you overnight in the huts.

You can make it in 6 or 7 days, my advice is to make the trek in 7 days.

Along the way you will meet only few people and you overnight in mobile tents set by our staff. You can make it in 5 or 6 days, my advice is 6 days trekking.
If you fly to Tanzania to conquer the roof of Africa, it’s better you plan 7-9 days trekking and maximize the chances of success. You won’t come back again for the same adventure, contact an experienced local tour operator and make sure your dream comes true.
