We have different itineraries for Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru and Ol Doinyo Lengai treks.
Mount Kilimanjaro
If you are looking for highest, solitary peak in the world (and the tallest mountain in the African continent), Mount Kilimanjaro is the one to climb. Known as the most well-travelled trek in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is located in the Kilimanjaro National Park. Despite its height, Mount Kilimanjaro is actually a very attainable summit to climb. In order to reach the everlasting snow at the top of the mountain, hikers will need appropriate attire, a walking stick and persistence. After reaching Uhuru Point (the peak) or Gillman’s Point along the lip of the crater, you will feel a sense of accomplishment as well as gained invaluable hiking experience. In order to fully appreciate the climb, we recommend that you spend at least six days on the trek up Mount Kilimanjaro.
Mount Meru
The hike up Mount Meru is more physically demanding than Mount Kilimanjaro, albeit only a three to four day hike. Many climbers use this hike as a warm-up to Mount Kilimanjaro.
Ol Doinyo Lengai
You can also climb “Ol Doinyo Lengai”, which means “Mountain of God” in Maasai language. This mountain is the only active volcano in East Africa. From 1883 until the present day, volcanic activity has been noted on the mountain. Ol Doinyo Lengai, hight 2,886 meters (9,442 feet), serves as a sacred mountain to the Maasai tribe. They believe if they go there to bring sacrifices to God or offer pray and praise, He will help them.
