LUXURY LODGES AND CAMPS

If you are looking to sleep in luxury lodges and camps on your safari, then Tanzania is welcoming you without any doubt. You can surprise your loved ones by choosing luxury accommodation because some of this luxury accommodation offers an extraordinary experience. For example, at AndBeyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge in Lake Manyara park, and Elewana Tarangire Treetops in Tanzania, in these lodges you can sleep on rooms built on an elevated platform using tree poles. Also, some luxury accommodations such as Fours Season Serengeti Lodge and Melia Serengeti Lodge have designated pools for animals to drink water, therefore sleeping here you see some animals drinking water very close just from your sleeping room.

Furthermore, most luxury accommodations have got swimming pool for you to swim or just sit around and enjoy the fresh air while having some drinks, hence they are considered to be the best accommodation to fit even children on safari considering that children prefer to swim more when at the lodge/camp. So due to this reason, luxury accommodation gives you the confidence to travel with Children on Safari. Last but not least, not all Luxury lodges/camps have a swimming pool, few of them miss it. Just to mention few luxury accommodations on safari that have swimming pools are AndBeyond, Elewana and Serena properties, Four Season Serengeti Lodge and Melia Serengeti Lodge. Well Worth properties are missing swimming pools in some places especially in Serengeti National Park.

Prices - How Much Does A Luxury Safari Cost?

There is no specific way to determine the exact Tanzania safari price due to several factors. The average cost for a safari roughly starts from 600 USD per person per day for a luxury safari based on 2 pax. Even if the program involves 4 pax or more, the costs will be around 550 USD.

Safari vehicle and private safari guide prices are fixed unless you share the safari with more people, meaning that for many people the cost will be lower compared to a few people. Also, the entrance fee for the National Parks varies from one protected area to the other. For example, driving in Ngorongoro crater with a safari vehicle costs 295$ per day excluding the entrance of 71$ per person and other fees.

Luxury accommodation has the best price-quality balance. These hotels/lodges/camps are located at beautiful locations with awesome views and very good service that matches the price. This is surely no budget accommodation and we always recommend the luxury accommodation if the customer has a good budget so that he/she can enjoy the accommodation at its fullest.

Private Luxury Safari

A private safari is all about traveling with the people you choose either with your loved one, wife or husband or your family. Sleeping on the accommodation of your choice and using a private safari Jeep on safari. Safari in Tanzania is considered more enjoyable if someone chooses to do it privately. You are free to decide what time to start and finish daily safari schedules. You are the final decision maker on what to be done during the day. In Tanzania game drives or other safaris usually start at 08am and finish at 5pm, unless if you are doing early morning game drives around 6am or night game drive from 7:30pm. So you are free to decide with your safari guide to start and finish anytime. Parks in Tanzania are opened from 6am and closed at 6pm, so in between, you are free to arrange with your safari guide when to start and finish.

If you choose to join a safari, then you are limited on deciding what to be done during your safari. In the group, everyone might have personal choices. Some would prefer to start safari early and finish late while others would prefer to start not early and finish early or any time when they are tired. So due to this factor, you might miss some good experiences. The big advantage for joining safari is that, the cost is always lower as you share a safari Jeep compared to a private safari that is expensive. For example, if only one couple (2 people) is using a private Jeep then is expensive compared to 3 couples (6 people) sharing a safari car.
