Safari Price
The price for the safari in Kenya depends on the package or type of safari the customer wants. This can be affected much by accommodation because it is categorized into mid-range which has a low price and luxury safari which has a high price.
Price for the driver guide and park entrance are always fixed and are not affected by the season unless it has been changed by the tour operator or government respectively. For the vehicle, it is different as customers can save money for the vehicle if they will be many compared to few customers in the vehicle. Some most visited park entrance fees are as follows; Lake Nakuru Park is 35$, Masai Mara park is 80$, Nairobi Park is 35$, Amboseli Park is 60$. Those are the entrance fees for adult non-residents, children have different and lower prices for park entrance depending on the age policy.
Regarding the price for accommodation, the customers can spend depending on the budget and type of accommodation they want. If the customers have a high budget then they can use a luxury type of accommodation which are the lodges and camps that are located at beautiful and wonderful locations with nice views and high-end services. If they have a low budget or normal budget, they can use mid-range accommodation which are lodges, camps, and tents that are normal but they also have good services and customers will still enjoy the safari as well.

Frequently Answer Question about Family Safari
Kenya is one among the top tourist destination in East African. Please find below some of the most frequent asked questions by traveler when plan travelling to Kenya.
What type of food will we have during the safari?
Most of the lodges and camps prepare all kinds of international food styles. Normally the breakfast includes fruits, eggs, sausages, fresh bread, etc while lunch and dinners may include all three types of meals that is the starter, main course and dessert. Larger lodges tend to offer buffet selection meals. In addition, picnic lunches and dinner are offered in case if clients wish to spend more time for a game drive or any other activities. The most important thing before making the reservation we always request clients to share with us their diet requirements/restrictions so that to inform the lodges/camps to prepare the required kind of meals.
What happen if there is a medical emergency during the safari?
In the improbable circumstances of illness or injury to the clients, our driver-guide and accommodation staff will be the first ones to take care of the client because they are well trained in first aid procedures. In addition, we recommend all our clients to buy travel insurance that covers medical insurance and compensation if the booking is canceled due to inevitable circumstances.
What type of vehicle will we have for game drive?
In Kenya, you can choose between closed sided 4 x 4 vehicle and 6 Seaters minivan depending on your budget. The price for minivan is cheaper compared to the price for the 4 x 4 Safari vehicle. However, we always recommend to book safari with 4 x 4 Safari vehicle rather than vans that offered by some of the tour companies in Kenya. In addition, if you book safari in with lodges/camps, they have their own 4 x 4 safari vehicle in which game drive will be on shared basis.

There are many activities to do in Kenya with family. I recommend spending atleast two weeks. With at least two to three nights in each national park/reserve so that kids will not get tired of shifting from one park to another. Also mixing safari with beach relaxation is the best for family.

Wildlife viewing in Kenya can be done year-round but can differ from one park to the other. The best time to do a safari in Kenya is during the dry season which starts from late June to October. These are the best months to view wildlife because most of them gather in places with sources of water. Also, the great migration reaches Kenya from Tanzania in August and remains until October when they move back to Serengeti in Tanzania.
Is Kenya better than Tanzania for safari?
Both Kenya and Tanzania are good countries for safari. Kenya is the birthplace of African safari and even now remains the ultimate destination for unparalleled game viewing. The country is home to a surprising number of different species around 25,000. Starting with National parks; Masai Mara Reserve is the best one due to the Great Migration happening in this reserve, although this Migration happening here is the same as the one in Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. And it is believed that the Migration happening in Serengeti Park is the best one because Serengeti Park is a huge park, hence huge herds to be seen. Other best destinations in Kenya are Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and others. Mount Kenya, Kenya’s highest mountain and the second-largest in Africa after Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro, and beaches such as Diani beach are also good attractions in Kenya.
In the meantime, Tanzania has got very good and famous destinations such as Serengeti National Park, as Africa's Leading National Park since 2005 up to date by World Travel Awards. The Great Migration happening in this park is considered as one of the ten wonders of the natural world. Serengeti is also UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other UNESCO World Heritage Sites and attractions making Tanzania the best country are Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of the greatest natural wonders of the planet. Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest freestanding mountain in the World. Zanzibar with clear beaches is another factor making Tanzania the best for safaris and beach holidays. Not only do these attractions make Tanzania the best destination, but also political stability that brings peace to the country.
How long should I spend in Kenya?
Kenya is a good place for holidays and safaris in Africa. Customers can visit and spend in this country but actually, this depends on the budget and time of the customers. Ideally, 5 days if the customer is only visiting the national parks and 10 to 14 days if the customer is going to visit national parks and go for the beach relaxation at the coast.
Is Kenya safe for tourists?
It’s without a doubt that Kenya is safe country for tourists. We have been there and some of our staff live there. We would never send our clients to places we wouldn't visit ourselves with our own families. All our Africa Safari Experts are permanently based in Africa, are well-traveled on the continent, and have extensive first-hand experience with this destination. Kenya's superb safari destinations are safe to visit and its warm, hospitable people will make your trip a memorable one. Regarding the Covid-19, Kenya is considered the best country in East Africa taking serious measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Every day the Ministry of Healy issues reports on a number of new cases, recovered, deaths, etc. As far as this moment, Kenya does not allow any tourists and other people who are not vaccinated to enter in.
Moreover, all passengers arriving in or transiting through Kenya must have a negative PCR COVID-19 certificate for a test conducted within 96 hours prior to arrival to Kenya. Vaccination certificate is also required to enter Kenya. Apart from Covid-19, we recommend you take Yellow fever vaccination before entering Kenya although this disease is not much common there nowadays. For Malaria, we recommend also you carry Mosquito and insect repellents to be safe, although we used to ask all accommodation to provide Mosquito nets and sprays rooms before your arrival. About Terrorism, Kenya’s authorities deal with the international terror threat in much the same way as other allies of the USA and Britain. You’ll find strict security at airports and visible policing in public places like shopping malls and outdoor markets, ensuring it is safe to visit Kenya.
What is the best month to go to Kenya?
Kenya can be visited anytime within the year as it is among the countries found within the equatorial region. Normally the coolest months are July and August while the hottest months are late January to March. The rain season starts from April to early June. Therefore, to sum up we recommend visiting Kenya during the months of January to March when it is hot and dry and most of the wildlife is concentrated near water holes so it will be very easy to spot them. In addition, July to August when it is cold are the best months to spot the Great Migration at Masai Mara Reserve. In some way, September and October are also good months for game viewing as there is good weather.
